Many people in today's age (2024) don't want to read or hear about demons or devils. They watch programming like Lucifer, which is a TV series, but never thought about the origins of the name Lucifer, which is, in fact, Satan's other name. But when someone starts talking about demons or devils, especially those you drive out of people in the name of Jesus Christ, they don't want to hear about it.
In Acts 8:6-8, you read how Philip did miraculous signs including exorcism of unclean (evil) spirits. People started to notice what he did and what he preached (Gempf 1994)
Act 8:6-8 And the people with one accord gave heed to those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the many miracles which he did. For out of those having unclean spirits, many came out, crying with loud voice. And many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.
When Satan and the fallen angels notice that you are exorcising demons from people, he will bring people who are not children of God in opposition to you. Many people don't believe that we are controlled by unclean spirits, but in actual fact, if you're not giving place for the Holy Spirit, your house (mind, soul, and body) will be possessed by unclean spirits. The things you do, say, and think about are demon-possessed. It's everything that's against the Word of God. You will hate people, oppose people who are in disagreement with your ways, and take revenge. You will do things that are impure and you will sow things with your mouth that give others unrest.
When you give place to the Holy Spirit of God, you will bear fruit. The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5). You will do, say, and think things that are pure, lovely, and honorable. Even though you will have times when you sin, have a thought that isn't pure, etc., you will, for the majority of the time, be led by the Holy Spirit, and your deeds, words, and thoughts will be overcome with the things of God, the Father.
People of this world, now in 2024 and in the future, wake up and see that our enemy, the devil, Satan, Lucifer, is like a roaring lion, looking for people to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
