Sharing what we have

Acts 4:32-37  The whole group of believers lived in harmony. No one called any of his possessions his own. Instead, they shared everything. With great power the apostles continued to testify that the Lord Jesus had come back to life. God's abundant good will was with all of them. None of them needed anything. From time to time, people sold land or houses and brought the money to the apostles. Then the money was distributed to anyone who needed it. Joseph, a descendant of Levi, had been born on the island of Cyprus. The apostles called him Barnabas, which means "a person who encourages." He had some land. He sold it and turned the money over to the apostles.

Reading the above passage today, God reminds me of how we should live when we have been filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:23-31). When we come to faith in Jesus Christ, we should be like these people and share what we have with our brothers and sisters. It's called love.

Sometimes I find it difficult to share what I have. I tend to choose what I share and with whom, and I have asked God to help me not to do this anymore. I need to share what I have with whomever God wants me to share with. I find that sometimes I am angry at others and the fact that they don't or haven't managed their money in a good way, which results in them being dependent on others.

I'm very open and honest because I want to break these chains of bitterness I have towards others who don't manage or haven't managed their money well. I am asking for forgiveness from God and trying my best to cancel thoughts of selfishness, judgment, and inconsideration towards others as much and as often as I can.

I am a child of God and I too struggle with sin but I am happy that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have eternal life.
