The topic of today's church service focused on offering a thanksgiving gift to God (Lev 7:11-12). The service aimed to draw our attention to the blessings from God for which we can express gratitude. One aspect that resonated with me was the following:
The pastor mentioned that we occasionally face challenging work environments. It might be due to colleagues or a boss making things tough, or perhaps the lack of a promotion or raise has left you dissatisfied. However, we should keep in mind that despite these sources of unhappiness at work, we are employed. Many individuals are unemployed and would wish for your job or salary.
This resonated a lot with me because I have a family member who has a very low salary and another family member who is working in a difficult work environment. I feel frustrated for them and have been praying for them for many months now. And yes, sometimes I too have a difficult work environment with a difficult boss. So this reminded me that my family members and I are employed and should be grateful towards God.
There were many other things that our pastor preached, but I want to leave this with you, to encourage those who have a difficult work environment, to remember this: Keep that head of yours high, do your work for God the Father, and continue to pray for help. But be grateful; you have something that others long for.
