Will you still love God, if He doesn't give you what you want?
Will you still love God, if He takes away everything that you have?
Will you still love God, if He takes away your loved ones?
Do you love God more than the above things, wholeheartedly?

I'm thinking about situations where you are either unemployed or business isn't going too well. Or when your salary is cut in half because your boss informed you that things aren't going too well with the business. Yes, you will most certainly look for another job, but in that time when things are haywire, would you still love God and praise Him?
Would you decide not to read God's Word anymore, nor pray or live according to His statutes, if He decides to take all your materialistic things away from you? Will you still be someone who can be called God's child if you live in a tent under a bridge or sleep in your car?
What if God decides to take away someone or everyone you love? Would you still remain on your knees, in front of His throne? Would you still worship Him for who He is and for being your God, your Creator?
I am wondering aloud because things aren't going too well on my side. I know that it will get better, but when, that I don't know. If we think about it, we should love God for what He has already done for us by giving His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as a living sacrifice on the cross for our sins. That purely is the biggest reason why we should love God because if He hadn't done that, we would have been responsible to pay for our own debt, for the sins we commit every single day.
The other reason for loving God is for who He is. Satan is the one who hates, destroys, and kills, but God is love, even if it doesn't look like it in times when everything falls apart. Usually, these things happen to help us endure steadfast in our faith.
God didn't promise us a life here on earth without difficulty, and it's because of how sinful we, as humans, are. We can't point a finger at others for the wrong they do to us or in general because we sin as well. God is the only One who is sinless and who can judge; even one day He will judge Satan and throw him into hell with others whose names aren't written in the book of Life.
Will you still love God even when things go wrong, you lose everything, and you don't have anyone anymore?
